4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (quad) is absent from Saturday's lineup for the game against the Orioles. Stanton will miss his second straight game after he was scratched from Friday's lineup due to left quad tightness, though manager Aaron Boone had noted the slugger could miss a day or two. Stanton's next chance to return will be Sunday for the series finale against Baltimore- though it wouldn't be surprising to see the Yankees take the cautious approach with the slugger, given his recent injury history. Aaron Judge will get a day off from the field and serve as the designated hitter on Saturday.--Tim Capurso
