Aaron Judge Could Start Playing Some Left Field
2 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that, while there is no plan to start playing Aaron Judge in left field, the idea is "on the table" if it will facilitate Giancarlo Stanton getting more time in right field. Both Boone and Stanton stated that the outfielder/designated hitter would benefit from more playing time in the outfield. Judge split time between center and right field in 2022 but has never played right field, and Stanton spent most of his time in right field throughout his career before serving primarily as a DH. Fantasy managers have nothing to worry about with Judge, but a change in rhythm could be good for Stanton, who did hit 31 home runs in 2022 but only slashed .211/.297/.462.
