Giancarlo Stanton Homers, Drives In Three Monday
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and three RBI in Monday's 5-1 win over the Braves. Stanton supplied much of the Yankee offense against Atlanta, swatting a solo shot to put the team on the board in the first inning, then later muscling a 119.2 MPH, two-run double off of Braves starter Huascar Ynoa to break a 1-1 tie. After a quiet July, Stanton has come alive in August, totaling five homers, 18 RBI, and 14 runs scored with an OPS north of .950. Hitting in the middle of a suddenly-potent Yankee lineup, Stanton seems to be peaking at the right time for fantasy managers.
