Giancarlo Stanton Hits First Homer In Weeks
7 years agoAfter an eventful beginning to his tenure with the New York Yankees that has seen him get showered with boos after miserable five-strikeout games, outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is slowly showing some improvement. On Friday night, he drilled his fourth home run of the season and first in over two weeks as the Yankees fought but eventually lost to the Toronto Blue Jays. Over the last seven games, the 28-year-old is hitting .222. Not necessarily good numbers, but an improvement on what has been a rough season start. In the aforementioned past seven games, he’s recorded six of his 15 hits thus far.
