Giancarlo Stanton Healed From Biceps Strain
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (biceps, shoulder) is completely healed from his biceps strain, but he required a cortisone shot in his left shoulder. He will rejoin the team on their road trip to Arizona, where he could ramp up his swinging. It's unclear if Stanton will go on a rehab assignment before returning, but he looks close to rejoining the Yankees. The 29-year-old slugger had just eight at-bats to begin the season before he was hurt, so his fantasy owners are waiting very impatiently to get him back. Stanton is sitting on zero homers but will surely provide plenty of long balls when he's healthy. Aaron Judge and Aaron Hicks are also injured, and Clint Frazier might be looking at an absence as well. The Yankees are one of the most beat up teams in baseball early on. Mike Tauchman will continue to see everyday playing time as a result.
