Giancarlo Stanton Has Feasted On The Red Sox This Season
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is hitting a respectable .277 with 24 home runs and 64 RBI this season. He's been in a bit of a rut the last seven days, going just 4-for-23, but a matchup against the rival Boston Red Sox might be just what the doctor ordered on Thursday. Against the Red Sox this season, Stanton has hit a gaudy .424 with an insane 1.258 OPS. He also doesn't have to face lefty ace Chris Sale (shoulder) on Thursday, who went on the disabled list with inflammation in his left shoulder. Instead, Stanton will face starter Brian Johnson, who Stanton is 2-for-2 against in his career. All this makes Stanton an attractive play in daily fantasy Thursday, and an elite option for the entire series with Boston.
