6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton continued his torrid stretch at the plate on Sunday, homering for the fifth time in his last six games. In the very first inning of Sunday's matchup against the Texas Rangers, Stanton took starter Martin Perez deep for his 30th home run of the season. He also singled to right field in the fifth inning. Stanton is now hitting .313 in August with six home runs in and 12 runs batted in. He's taken up the slack left by Aaron Judge (wrist) and performed admirably. Keep Stanton locked into lineups as he continues to see beach balls being thrown at him.--Mauricio Castillo
