3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton plated a run for the fourth straight game in Thursday's loss to the Red Sox. Stanton came up with a key hit, giving the Yankees the lead on an RBI single in the eighth inning. He seems to be picking things up at the plate lately, going 5-for-18 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored over his last four games, though he has also been a far less disciplined hitter at the plate this month, with a 19:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Stanton will likely play the outfield on Saturday, something the Yankees want him to get accustomed to doing.--Tim Capurso
