Giancarlo Stanton Exits With Injury, Undergoes MRI
5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton exited Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays before the fourth inning. He suffered a knee injury, which the club is calling a contusion, as he slid around the bases. The 29-year-old just recently returned from a biceps injury that sidelined him since April. Stanton underwent an MRI and the results are expected Wednesday. Should he have to once again head to the IL with the injury, Clint Frazier should be viewed as the likely replacement on the roster.
