Giancarlo Stanton Currently Behind Schedule
3 days agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (elbow) was fantastic during the postseason but is currently behind schedule at the start of spring training. The veteran slugger is currently being held back due to elbow soreness. This doesn't sound like a long-term issue, but the Yankees are also going to be cautious with their veteran slugger. The assumption is that Stanton will be fine in time for Opening Day, but more information will be revealed as time goes on. This injury might push Stanton down on some draft boards, but it's also worth noting that Stanton is coming off a fairly decent 2024 season. His days of being an All-Star slugger are probably behind him, but Stanton can still be a viable option in this Yankees lineup.
