Giancarlo Stanton Begins Rehab Assignment Tuesday
1 year agoNew York Yankees designated hitter/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) began a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset Tuesday, going 0-for-3 with a walk. The 33-year-old has been out since mid-April with a left hamstring strain, but he could potentially return to the Yankees as soon as this weekend at the Dodgers. Stanton was off to a decent start to the season before landing on the injured list, slashing .269/.296/.558 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 54 plate appearances. He has remained a solid source of power throughout his career when healthy, so fantasy managers will be pleased to see him return.
