Dustin May Gets $1.675 Million To Avoid Arbitration
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers and pitcher Dustin May agreed to a one-year, $1.675 million contract to avoid salary arbitration. His career has been plagued with injuries, but a healthy Dustin May is not a pitcher you want to face in the batter's box. He has made just 11 starts over the past two seasons, but the Dodgers hope to get him healthy for 2023. May made his season debut in August after recovering from Tommy John surgery. In his six starts in 2022, the 25-year-old displayed a 4.50 ERA along with 29 strikeouts and a 4.38 FIP. If May can stay healthy for the bulk of 2023, he will be included in the Dodgers' five-man rotation consisting of Clayton Kershaw, Julio Urias, Tony Gonsolin, and Noah Syndergaard. If everything goes right for the right-hander, he should be a reliable contributor in the fantasy world.
