Gerrit Cole Primed For Another Elite Season
6 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole has picked up right where he left off last season, posting a 1.62 ERA in four spring starts. Cole will be the number two starter in the Astros rotation is looking to build off a career-season in 2018. The 28-year-old went 15-5 last season with 2.88 ERA, a 1.03 WHIP and 276 strikeouts in 200 1/3 innings. The right-hander will be a free agent at season's end and will, once again, be looking to dominate on the mound. A slight regression from last season's numbers would not be a surprise but even if that happens, Cole should still be able to post top-25 numbers among starting pitchers in fantasy this season.
