Gerald Green Gets Hot off the Bench
7 years agoHouston Rockets guard Gerald Green provided the team with much-needed relief off of the bench against the Orlando Magic. Green played 28 minutes, scoring 27 points mostly in part from his red-hot shooting from behind the three-point line, finishing the night going 7-for-10 from downtown. He also contributed in other areas, pulling down six rebounds and blocking a shot in the win. Though he turned the ball over four times, fantasy owners will gladly overlook that fact as long as he continues to score like he did on Wednesday. The veteran has played well as of late, averaging 18 points and has gone 13-for-20 from deep over the past three contests. He definitely should have a home on all fantasy rosters at least until guard James Harden (hamstring) returns in a few weeks, but is making a case to see minutes even when he returns.
