Gerald Everett On The TE1 Borderline For Week 3
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett has gotten off to a hot start with his new team and is currently the fantasy TE4 through two weeks. In Week 3, he will face a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that allowed the 12th fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends in 2021. Everett has benefitted from Keenan Allen (hamstring) missing time, but even if the veteran wideout is active on Sunday, Everett has likely shown enough to receive utilization going forward. The main concern for Everett this week will be the quarterback situation as Justin Herbert (ribs) did not practice on Friday and is questionable to play. It will be hard to trust Everett in starting fantasy lineups with Chase Daniel under center and he should be viewed as a TE2 if Herbert is inactive. Fantasy managers may want to pivot off of Everett if they have a decent option in the early games as the Chargers do not play until 4:05 PM ET.
