Georges Niang Should See Increased Role
Georges Niang is expected to see more minutes going forward, assuming the NBA season does return this year. Bojan Bogdanovic underwent season-ending wrist surgery for an issue that has plagued him since November. Royce O'Neale is expected to be the small-ball power forward while Bogdanovic is out. That means more minutes should be available for Niang as the backup four. However, Niang does not have great numbers this season, so he won't be worth adding in most leagues, assuming play does resume.

Georges Niang Ruled Out For Monday
Georges Niang (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Niang has seen more time on the court since being traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers at the deadline. His absence opens up additional playing time for Mouhamed Gueye and Terance Mann in the rotation. Between the two, Mann is the better streaming choice ahead of Monday's contest. Mann has scored 13 points or more in each of the last three games. The 28-year-old has also played 26 minutes or more during that span, so he figures to see more of a role during Monday's game.

Georges Niang Unavailable Friday For Hawks
Georges Niang won't debut with his new club on Friday versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The trade that recently sent him from the Cavs is still being finalized. The 31-year-old, across 51 games in Cleveland, averaged 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 20.6 minutes per contest. His role with his new team is uncertain, so he will likely have a limited impact on fantasy for now.

Georges Niang Joins The Hawks
Georges Niang along with Caris LeVert, three second-round picks, and two swaps in exchange for De'Andre Hunter. Hunter became expendable after the emergence of Jalen Johnson before his season-ending shoulder injury and the strong rookie showing of No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher. Niang and LeVert could help fill in while Johnson is out, but more likely they'll mix into the second unit behind Risacher. Niang played 51 games for the Cavs this season, starting just one contest. He averaged 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his 20.6 minutes per game. If he steps into a larger role, he could be a decent source of three-pointers and rebounds, but his role with his new team is uncertain at this point.

Georges Niang Says Cleveland Is A 'Perfect Fit'
Georges Niang spoke to The Eagle-Tribune and was thrilled about his role on his new team. The veteran forward said "They have some really good young talent and were looking for a veteran shooter and I was looking for a team that is dedicated to winning. It's a perfect fit." The 30-year-old is coming off two of the best seasons of his career as he filled a bench shooter role perfectly for the 76ers. Now, he gets a chance to do the same alongside Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, and Donovan Mitchell.
