George Springer Back In The Starting Lineup On Saturday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (forearm) is set to return to the field for Saturday's game against his former team, the Houston Astros. He will be batting leadoff and slotting in as the team's designated hitter for the day. Springer suffered a forearm injury on Wednesday after he was hit by a pitch. He wound up missing the team's next two games after that. The 32-year-old is off to a solid start to the 2022 season, slashing .265/.315/.469 with two home runs, one stolen base, six RBI and seven runs over 13 games.
