George Kittle Emerging As Matchup-Proof
6 years agoAfter racking up 125 yards and a score from San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard in Week 4, tight end George Kittle is making the case for being both matchup and quarterback-proof. Seemingly the apple of Beathard’s eye, Kittle enters Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals third amongst tight ends with 316 receiving yards on 18 grabs. Already pacing all Niners skill players in snaps, a banged-up receiving corps should further boost Kittle’s prominence as the team’s featured pass catcher. While the Cardinals pass defense has been relatively stingy (250.3 yards per game), Kittle’s reliable hands and team-leading seven red zone targets make him a bankable TE1.
