4 years agoDue to the San Francisco 49ers' offensive line woes, star tight end George Kittle could see himself lining up in the backfield often to start the year. This would help give the team a boost in pass protection, with Kittle's blocking ability a big step up from the team's running backs. On the surface, this might sound like bad news for Kittle as he could be lining up on the outside a bit less as a result, giving him less potential for larger gains. However, it could also result in an increase in short dump-off plays involving Kittle, which would increase his PPR potential. For now, it's mostly just speculation given the 49ers' personnel.
