George Kirby Recalled Ahead Of Tuesday's Start
2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners have recalled right-hander George Kirby from Triple-A. He will be the team's starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers. To clear a roster spot for Kirby, the team optioned fellow right-hander Matt Brash to Triple-A. Kirby has had an up-and-down first tour of the majors this year. Across 12 starts, he's gone 2-3 with a 3.78 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. He's been hit hard on multiple occasions, but he's done a good job of limiting walks, as shown by his 6.9 K/BB ratio.
