Geno Smith Plays Well In Week 8
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith had a couple of rough weeks in place of quarterback Russell Wilson (finger), but he played well in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He completed 20 of 24 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran twice for eight yards and found the end zone. The Seahawks were in desperate need of a win in a tough NFC West division, and Smith helped them get at least one before Wilson possibly returns following the team's bye next week. In Smith's first matchup with a below-average defense, he showed that he could bring positive fantasy value. If he has to continue in place of Wilson following the team's bye week, he wouldn't be the worst option for fantasy managers in superflex leagues as a QB2 streamer.
