Gary Woodland Rights the Ship at Muirfield
4 years agoAfter two disappointing outings, Gary Woodland was looking lost once again after the first round of the Workday Charity Open last week. However, he shot 13-under over the next three days on his way to a T5 finish. A couple hole-outs and some long putts can certainly be attributed for Woodland's strong finish to the weekend, but his game looked much better nonetheless. The Kansas native gained 3.4 strokes off the tee after losing strokes in that category each of the last three contests. He'll look to keep his putter hot (7 strokes gained at Workday) as he takes on a tougher course and field at the Memorial Tournament this week.
