3 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is heading to the bench for Wednesday's game against Jose Berrios and the Toronto Blue Jays. Kyle Higashioka is getting the start behind the plate, catching for Yankees ace Gerrit Cole. Sanchez has had a very typical Gary Sanchez type of month in September. He's hit five home runs and he's driven in 11 runs, but he's batted just .190 with more strikeouts (14) than hits (11). The 28-year-old has 23 home runs, 54 RBI and 54 runs over 112 games on the year.
