7 years agoComing off a blowout defeat at Fenway Park on Tuesday night to the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees bounced back Wednesday with a win against their eternal rivals. The offense led the way with 10 runs, as catcher Gary Sanchez led the assault. His first major action came in the first inning with a man on and two runs already in. The 25-year-old delivered a two-run home run over the green monster, increasing the early lead to four runs. In the fourth inning, he delivered a second two-run home run, blowing the game wide open for the moment. He would later add a double, wrapping up his game with four RBI in a 10-6 victory.
