4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez and first baseman Mike Ford are not in the lineup for the third game of the series against the Indians on Saturday. The Yankees seem to be playing it safe with Sanchez, who seems fine, though he's likely still managing the bruised fingers on his throwing hand. Ford is getting a breather after appearing in three straight games since being recalled from the alternate site. The red-hot Kyle Higashioka will be behind the plate to catch Gerrit Cole and will bat eighth. DJ LeMahieu will slide over to first base and set the table for the Yankee lineup.--Tim Capurso
