Gary Sanchez Hits Home Run In Abysmal Performance
6 years agoAlongside New York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino, catcher Gary Sanchez had himself an atrocious series finale against the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday night. Sanchez, who has looked lost at the plate all season, salvaged his game by hitting a two-run home run, his first home run since June. Behind the plate, however, he had two passed balls and two wild pitches, allowing one unearned run to score. With the Yankees heading down the stretch of a likely postseason berth, the club might be forced to bench Sanchez given his defense and struggles at the plate.
