Gary Sanchez Has Big Hit To Break Open Game
6 years agoStill stuck in a terrible stretch that dates back to the beginning of the season, New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez literally sunk to a new low on Friday. That's because manager Aaron Boone dropped him to sixth in the lineup, this coming on the heels of a benching to begin the week. While he appeared headed for another hitless game, he stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and a two-run lead. Sanchez came up with a fatal blow, drilling a double to right field that scored all three runners, busting open the game. He would also throw a runner out at second base, possibly turning things around.
