Gary Sanchez Goes Hitless In Rehab Game
6 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez (calf) went 0-for-3 for Single-A Charleston in his first rehab game on Monday night. He caught five innings and is expected to join the team on Tuesday and be activated from the injured list in order to play against the Angels on Wednesday. Sanchez has been out since April 12 with a mild left calf strain and has six home runs in his first 11 games of the season. Get ready to get Sanchez back in your daily lineups this week, as he has some of the most upside from the catching position. Austin Romine will move back to a backup role when Sanchez is activated.
