6 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez said he felt surprised that MRI results showed a strain in his left calf, as he felt fine. The 26-year-old sat out Wednesday's series finale in Houston, although he came on later as a pinch-hitter. At a time when the Yankees find themselves down 12 men due to injuries, Sanchez will be shut down through Monday and hopes to return when his 10 days on the injured list are up. Until this point, he's been hitting well, batting .268 with six home runs and 11 RBI in 11 games.--RDelgado
