Gary Sanchez Connects On First Home Run
7 years agoThrough six games played to begin the regular season, New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez has struggled at the plate. The slugging catcher has only managed two hits, but on Wednesday afternoon he hit his most significant. With the Bronx Bombers leading 2-1 in the third, the 25-year-old stepped up to the plate and promptly drilled a two-run blast to left, putting the club up by three. It was the second of three home runs on the afternoon for New York, as Sanchez joined Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge in the home run bash.
