Garrett Richards Blanks The Mets
4 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Garrett Richards looked dominant on Tuesday in New York. Seven hits allowed across seven innings with 10 strikeouts gave Richards his first double-digit strikeout performance since April 21, 2018. Despite a constant barrage of injuries, this type of performance has been the allure that has driven fantasy managers to return to Richards over and over again. The Red Sox continue to be the only AL East team over .500 and Richards' solid ties to the rotation make him an attractive fantasy option. Despite unappealing numbers across his first four starts including a 6.48 ERA and a 12-13 K-BB ratio, tonight's outing saw zero walks. Managers need to pay close attention to his next scheduled start in Texas as another strong performance should create a rush to employ his services.
