Garrett Hill To Make MLB Debut Monday
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Garrett Hill. He will make his MLB debut on Monday as the team's starting pitcher in one of the two games in Monday's doubleheader against the Cleveland Guardians. The Tigers made the decision to call up Hill after starting pitcher Rony Garcia (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Hill is 26 years old and he's had a strong year in the minors pitching at both Double-A and Triple-A. Across 15 starts, he has pitched to a 3.23 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP while averaging 12.7 K/9. He is ranked as the team's 23rd overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.
