Garrett Cooper Reaches Base Three Times On Sunday
3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder/first baseman Garrett Cooper stayed hot on Sunday, reaching base three times. He went 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs scored, and an RBI. Cooper has been the best hitter in baseball since coming off the injured list and was even on a hot streak before that. Despite a very slow start to the season, Cooper is now up to a .291 batting average and an .867 OPS. His health and his defense will always be concerns, but as long as Cooper is in the batter's box, he's capable of doing significant damage. A trade to an American League team where he'll be able to spend some time in the DH spot seems to make too much sense.
