1 year agoMiami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper is not starting Saturday's matchup with right-hander Kyle Gibson and the Baltimore Orioles. The 32-year-old has been his standard self with the bat this season, slashing .258/.302/.438 with 12 homers across 71 games. Yuli Gurriel will take his spot at first and bat fifth. The former Houston Astro has rebounded a bit after an ugly 2022 campaign, batting .267 with four stolen bases, but has gone deep just three times over 58 games. Gurriel is hitting .270 against righties, though, and can provide fantasy managers with a decent batting average as a streaming option.--Spencer Seguin
