Garrett Cooper Homers On Saturday
3 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper hit a home run and a single in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves. Cooper was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. His home run ended up being the game winner. Cooper started in right field and hit third in the lineup before eventually moving over to first base when the Marlins brought defensive replacements into the outfield late in the game. Cooper has always hit throughout his career, his issue is staying healthy and finding a defensive position. He's up to a .277 batting average with an .815 OPS. He may not be a "set and forget" fantasy piece since he does not play every game, but he's worth having in a mixed league lineup on the days he's in the real lineup as well.
