Garrett Cooper Hits A Home Run On Thursday
4 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper had a nice game on Thursday in Grapefruit League play against the Washington Nationals. Cooper got the start in right field and went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in the third inning. He's hitting a robust .382 with a 1.064 OPS in the spring and should see somewhat consistent playing time once the season begins, although the Marlins have said they will be careful with Cooper's health this season. Jesus Aguilar will also need at bats at Cooper's primary position, first base. He'll be a valuable fantasy contributor whenever he's in the lineup, but he'd be best in fantasy formats that allow for daily lineup changes.
