Garrett Cooper Getting A Breather Saturday
2 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper is absent from the lineup for Saturday's matchup with Caleb Kilian and the Chicago Cubs. The 32-year-old is slashing .267/.302/.411 with three home runs over 23 games but is just two for his last 19. Yuli Gurriel will take Cooper's spot on the field and bat cleanup. The two-time World Series champion is beginning his first campaign with the Marlins and is batting .289 with a .778 OPS and two homers through 13 games. With Kilian making his first start of the season with the Cubs and his poor numbers from 2022, it may be a perfect time to stream Gurriel, who can provide average and counting stats.
