Garrett Cooper Feeling Better, Back In Lineup
1 year agoMiami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper (illness) is feeling better and is back in the starting lineup on Friday against the Atlanta Braves and right-hander Michael Soroka. Cooper is starting at first base and batting fifth in the order for the Fish. He was scratched from the team's starting lineup on Thursday while under the weather, but the 32-year-old is feeling better and should be returned to starting lineups in fantasy. He's currently riding a seven-game hitting streak in which he's gone 12-for-27 (.444) with two home runs, three doubles, eight RBI and four runs scored in 30 plate appearances. Cooper will also be facing Soroka, who has struggled in just two major-league starts for Atlanta in 2023.
