Garrett Cooper Back In Action Against Phillies
2 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper (knee) is starting at first base and hitting second on Friday against Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Kyle Gibson. Cooper will be available again for fantasy managers after missing the last two games due to a bruised left knee. The 31-year-old All-Star has been in a recent cold stretch at the plate, but he's hitting .295/.362/.453 with an .815 OPS, seven home runs, 40 RBI and 28 runs overall this year in 315 plate appearances and 78 games. July has been a rough month for him, as he's gone 7-for-40 (.175) with two homers, five RBI and 14 strikeouts in 12 games played.
