5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end Garrett Celek (back, concussion) sat out of organized team activities with a residual back injury from last year and remains in the concussion protocol. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Celek will remain in the protocol until training camp this summer. He also sat out this week because he needed back surgery this offseason, and he could miss the beginning of training camp as a result. The 31-year-old could easily be forced to begin the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list and won't even be a fantasy option behind George Kittle if he's healthy.
