6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will look to bounce back at home against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. The 26-year-old is coming off of a poor performance, in which he threw three interceptions and managed just nine fantasy points. Even though Marquise Goodwin is questionable to play on Sunday, Garoppolo should have an easier time in San Francisco’s home opener. The Lions allowed nearly 200 yards passing and two touchdowns to Sam Darnold in his first career start, and they likely would have surrendered even more fantasy points to the position had the Jets not been playing with the lead for most of the game. This week’s matchup has the potential to turn into a back and forth shootout, which bodes well for both quarterbacks. Therefore, start Garoppolo with confidence on Sunday.--Mike Dente
