8 months agoWinnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (spleen, upper body) will be back in the lineup for Saturday's contest against the visiting Ottawa Senators. The 24-year-old has missed the past 15 games due to an upper-body injury while he was also diagnosed with an enlarged spleen. Vilardi has dealt with a number of injuries this season but has been productive when healthy, tallying 16 goals and 30 points across 38 games while he also has 93 shots on goal and a plus-12 rating in that time. It appears Vilardi will slot back into the top line alongside Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor on Saturday. The Jets enter the contest sitting in third place in the Central Division with a 44-23-6 record, although the Nashville Predators have moved within four points.--Brenton Kemp
