Gabriel Landeskog Staying In Colorado
3 years agoVeteran forward Gabriel Landeskog and the Colorado Avalanche agreed on a contract hours before he was set to become an unrestricted free agent. The team captain received a max-term deal at eight years worth $56 million. It will have a cap hit of $7 million per season. The 28-year-old left-winger was selected second overall by the Avalanche in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He's spent 10 years at the NHL level and has 218 goals and 512 points in 687 career games. He also has 45 points in 49 playoff games. Last season, Landeskog scored 20 goals and added 52 points in 54 games. He's scored 20 goals of more in seven of the past eight seasons and is a strong fantasy option especially with his supporting cast which includes some of the best offensive players in the game.
