Gabriel Arias Absent From Lineup On Tuesday
31 seconds agoCleveland Guardians second baseman Gabriel Arias is out of the starting lineup again on Tuesday as the team continues their series against the visiting New York Yankees. Daniel Schneemann will start at second base and hit eighth against Yankees right-hander Will Warren. It's the second time in the last three games that Arias has started on the bench for Cleveland. The 25-year-old hasn't been bad to start the 2025 season, as he came into Tuesday's game hitting .277/.333/.508 with an .841 OPS, four home runs, 10 RBI and a stolen base in 72 plate appearances for the Guardians. If the Venezuelan infielder isn't dealing with an injury, we'd expect him to be back in Wednesday's lineup in Cleveland. Schneemann is batting .219 (7-for-32) with two homers and three RBI in his first 13 games of 2025. He'll be a low-upside DFS option against a pitcher he's never faced.
