Freddy Peralta To Throw A Bullpen Session On Friday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (shoulder), who has been sidelined for about a week due to mild shoulder inflammation, is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Friday. It will be his first mound work since sustaining the injury. He played catch on Thursday and reportedly felt great afterwards. According to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy, Peralta will have a few days off after Friday's bullpen session, then he will throw another bullpen session, then he will join the rotation again. If that timeline holds, Peralta should be slated to make his return some time within the first three or four days of September. Peralta is in the midst of a career year with a 9-3 record to go along with a 3.81 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP and a 34% strikeout rate.
