Freddy Peralta Optioned To Triple-A
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta has been optioned back to Triple-A Colorado Springs. This was a corresponding move to starter Chase Anderson (illness) being reinstated from the disabled list. After Peralta's historic 13-strikeout debut, he fell back to earth on Saturday, allowing nine baserunners in only four innings of work. Peralta's downfall was ultimately his lack of a second go-to pitch, as 90 of his 98 pitches in his debut were his fastball. If Peralta wants to start in the majors, he will definitely need to work on a second pitch. His debut showed that he does have extraordinary upside, and he should be a lock in dynasty formats.
