Freddy Peralta Goes Six Scoreless In Win Thursday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta improved to 8-3 after cruising through six scoreless innings in a 12-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The All-Star allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out five in just 68 pitches during the quality start. The Brewers elected to conserve some innings on the 25-year-old's arm and removed him before the seventh inning with a 7-0 lead. Along with starting pitchers Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff, Peralta has posted ace-like numbers this season for the Brewers with a 2.17 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, and a whopping 145 strikeouts in only 108 innings. Peralta is lined up for a rematch against the Pirates on Tuesday at home.
