Freddy Peralta Finalizing Long-Term Extension With Brewers
5 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to a new five-year deal with pitcher Freddy Peralta. The deal is for five years and $15.5 million with two club options that could bring the value up to $30 million, per Ken Rosenthal with The Athletic. The 23-year-old has been battling for a spot in the rotation this spring, and it looks as if the Brewers foresee a prominent role for Peralta going forward. Peralta has been focused on adding a slider to his repertoire in the offseason and he has the tools to be an elite strikeout pitcher if he develops properly. If he secures a rotation spot for the Brewers, he is certainly worth a look in most fantasy drafts, especially in leagues that value strikeouts.
