Freddy Peralta Expected To Miss Significant Time
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell provided an updated on injured starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (shoulder) on Monday. He stated that Peralta will miss "significant" time, but that the team is optimistic he will return later this season. An MRI on Peralta's shoulder revealed a posterior shoulder strain. The injury likely won't lead to Peralta needing surgery. It will just require for him to be shut down for quite some time. This is of course unfortunate news for fantasy managers, but at least it sounds like there's a chance that Peralta will be able to return for the fantasy playoffs. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Peralta in an IL spot in all leagues.
