Freddy Peralta's Absence Not Expected To Be Long
6 years agoAfter landing on the injured list earlier Tuesday with SC joint inflammation, Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (shoulder) is reportedly not expected to be out for long. That was confirmed by manager Craig Counsell, who said Peralta will rest a few days, allowing the inflammation to calm. He'll resume throwing soon thereafter and it appears his absence will not be lengthy. The 22-year-old may return as soon as his 10 days expire, but his numbers early on leave much more to be desired. Through four starts this season, he's surrendered 14 runs in 17 2/3 innings of work.
